Uploaded some new drawings (Gallery: Storyboards section) that I did about 10 years ago. When I was in thick at my storyboarding career. I got 'pushed' into this career because I couldn't find work fast enough in the comic book industry. Most of those dumbass comic book companies in the 1980's and 90's were too busy hiring amateur fanboys and their 'art' in some weird ass attempt to push crap over skill. Well they bit themselves in the ass with their massive declining sales which they only managed to save by doing all sorts of circus tricks like printing multiple covers for one comic book and calling bad art 'great' (doublespeak). Thanks to Alex Ross those dumb-fucks that run these companies actually started opening their eyes to the neck-level piles of shit they were swimming in and now many comic books look more realistically drawn. But still you can pick up a super hero comic book from Marvel or DC that was obviously drawn by a wannabe comic book artist.
Anyway here's a storyboard job I did for a Toyota TV commercial. It was fun doing it, and, like I normally do, I used no photographs when drawing it. If you want to be a REAL comic book artist you should study drawing realistically in order to do the same from imagination. It's harder to do, of course, then just drawing a bunch of hacked-out crap and calling it 'art' or a 'style' but the personal rewards are greater.
Go to the Recommended Art Books section here for starters to learn how to draw well. Get these books and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't ever stop studying them and you'll get better.
I'm Alan Booker and I created the character known as Zombie Racer (TM) in the year 2000, same year I registered the domain www.zombieracer.com, and then everyone and his mother started turning it into shitty video games and smelly gym shoes on the Internet. So now it's just all over the damn place. Anyone using this trademark without proper authorization subjects themselves to possible legal action. -especially if you make any money off of it.
